Grout Sealing and Recolouring

As grout is a very porous substance it can stain easily from spillages and high foot traffic. If your grout is new or fairly new it needs to be sealed and stain guarded.

What is stain guarding?

Stain guarding of grout and porous tiles is just like when you buy a new lounge and have it scotch guarded.

A premium sealer is applied to the porous grout and tiles which creates a barrier to protect them. So, if by chance someone drops a cup of coffee or a can of coke on your new tiles and grout, the sealer helps protect the area allowing time for you to clean up the liquid before it soaks in causing permanent damage.

Stainguarding is also recommended on tiles and grout in new bathrooms, showers, kitchen splashbacks and outside bbq areas.

Grout Recolouring

If your floor is quite old (2 years or older) the Tile Rescue cleaning process will clean the grout but it may not remove soaked in stains. This is when we recommend applying a colour sealer.
